Who are we?
Green Wave Hope is an African association based in Tanzania, dedicated to two major objectives: environmental protection and the promotion of democracy through the defense of whistleblowers. On one hand, we focus on raising awareness about environmental issues and the need to adopt sustainable practices to preserve the continent's fragile ecosystems.
On the other hand, we are committed to defending transparency and justice by supporting African whistleblowers who take risks to expose abuses, whether related to corruption, mismanagement of natural resources, or human rights violations.

Our Mission

Protection of the Ngorongoro ecosystem and the Maasai: We closely monitor the Maasai relocation project, led by the Tanzanian government, which seeks to protect the Ngorongoro reserve while ensuring the preservation of the traditions of this emblematic people.
Gabon faces significant challenges in democratic governance, highlighted by political and electoral crises. Deep reforms are needed to ensure transparent elections and the respect of fundamental rights. Defenders of transparency and justice, who often face repression, are crucial for the country’s democratic future. We call for the strengthening of the rule of law and the protection of these essential voices.
The Democratic Republic of Congo, home to the second-largest tropical forest in the world, faces major challenges in environmental governance, particularly due to the illegal exploitation of natural resources. Fragile ecosystems and local communities are at risk, and environmental defenders face threats, intimidation, and violence. We are committed to supporting them and raising public awareness about the importance of their protection.
